The longest dog ever at 2.554m (8.3ft) is Aicama Zorba of La-Susa, who was verified in London, UK, in September 1997.


The dogs nick name was Zorba.

Other measurements included a chest girth of 1.447m 57in, an 87.7cm 36½in neck, a shoulder height of 88.7cm 35in and a weight of 144.66kg 319lb.

In march 1989, Zorba was left in the charge of a relative who overfed him and he ballooned to 153.5kg 338lb, but he returned to his ideal weight.

One of his sons 'Chandor' (whelped 6 Aug 1987) weighed 120.6kg 266lb at the age of 18months (cf. 108kg 238lb for Zorba at two years.)
