A height of 15 metres (49 feet) has been recorded for the great climbing orchid (Pseudovanilla foliata), a saprophyte of the vanilla family which grows in the decaying rainforests of Queensland, Australia. It is not free-standing but scrambles through over trees in the rainforest.
