Singer Ariana Grande (USA) accumulated pre-tax earnings of $72 m (£58.3 m) in the year to May 2020, according to Forbes’ Celebrity 100. Her Sweetener World Tour (18 March-22 December 2019) grossed $146.4 m (£112.6 m), and combined with the success of her fifth studio album thank u, next (2019), a string of chart-topping singles and a 2019 “Fragrance of the Year: Women’s Popular Award” accolade for her Cloud Eau de Parfum, the 26-year-old Florida native was able to out-earn Taylor Swift ($63.5 m; £51.4 m), Billie Eilish ($53 m; £42.9 m), Jennifer Lopez ($47.5 m; £38.4 m), Alecia “P!nk” Moore ($47 m; £38 m), Robyn “Rihanna” Fenty ($46 m; £37.2 m), Celine Dion ($42 m; £34 m), Katy Perry ($38.5 m; £31.2 m) and Stefani “Lady Gaga” Germanotta ($38 m; £30.8 m) in the magazine’s Celebrity 100.

Grande was ranked 17th overall on the Celebrity 100 and was the third-highest-ranked woman, behind Kylie Jenner ($590 m; £477.5 m) and Ellen DeGeneres ($84 m; £68 m).
