Most visited aquarium (current)

Based on the latest attendance figures published by the Themed Entertainment Association, the most visited aquarium is Hengqin Ocean Kingdom (aka Chimelong Ocean Kingdom) in Hengqin, Guangdong, China, which received 11,736,000 visitors in 2019. The facility is part of a multi-theme park owned by Zhuhai Chimelong Investment and Development Co., Ltd (China) and was officially inaugurated on 28 January 2014.

The Ocean Kingdom is also the world's largest aquarium, with a total water volume of 48.75 million litres (10.72 million UK gal; 12.87 million US gal) of salt and fresh water.

The most visited zoo during the same period is Disney's Animal Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA, which received 13,888,000 visitors.
