The most consecutive L-sit ring muscle ups is 10 and was achieved by Juan Manuel Pulisich (Argentina) in Chacras de Coria, Mendoza, Argentina, on 13 November 2020.
Juan was inspired to attempt for this Guinness World Records title to show people that there are no limits when you love what you do. From a very young age Juan liked body weight physical exercises. 'I never believed that I was going to make a record, but two years ago I realized that I felt capable of being able to make a record like this and I achieved it.'
During the training routine Juan exclusively used body weight exercises to train for his attempt. ' In order to do my first l sit rings muscle up I had to train many muscles separately, such as the abs, biceps, triceps, pectorals and others. Once I was able to do it on top of the rings without the help of anyone, I began to do a progressive training that consists of doing two days doing one repetition each time with less rest time.' On Sundays Juan took a well deserved rest day.
It took Juan one week to recover from his attempt. Fortunately Juan did not suffer any tears or injuries during his attempt.
'It is a huge joy to see my name as a Guinness World Records title holder (as a child I loved to see the records at the world in all areas and disciplines, my dream was always to appear in one of them) and it makes me very happy to have made a record in a discipline that I love and that I can enjoy. I know that this contributes to the growth of this discipline by seeing that the human body can do more and better things with respect to physical activity.
