Finding Dory (2016), Pixar's highly anticipated sequel to Finding Nemo (2003), grossed $100,390,876 (£69.8 million) within two days of its general US release on 17 June 2016, according to The-Numbers.com. That's faster than any other animated film in box-office history.
That equates to an average $50,195,438 (£34.9 million) taken each day.
Finding Dory also took the record for highest domestic box office film gross for an animation – opening weekend.
