The largest glass sculpture is 9 m (29 ft 6 in) wide and 20 m (65 ft 7 in) long and was created by Dale Chihuly at the Bellagio Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on 15 October 1998.


The most expensive hotel ever built, the Bellagio, Las Vegas, USA, also boasts the largest glass sculpture ever made. The ceiling chandelier which stretches above the hotel's foyer measures 9 m x 20 m (29 ft 6 in x 65 ft 7 in) and was created by the glass artist Dale Chihuly. Entitled Fiori di Como, the artwork consists of 4,535kg 10,000lb of steel and 18,143kg 40,000lb of hand-blown glass in the shape of flowers in about 40 colours.
